There are five galleries here, so be sure to view each one. Quilts in our Special Exhibits are available for Best of Show award even though we do not have Viewers' Choice ballots within each exhibit. Entries in the Judges Exhibit are not eligible for the Best of Show award.
We're happy this year to include a special exhibit of vintage quilts. Our members submitted photos and stories of these very special quilts.
Quilts are all pre-1950.

Architecture
Storytelling is a tradition in all cultures, first as oral and pictorial such as cave paintings. This group was formed because the artists wanted to continue that tradition by using quilts to present visual stories. This exhibit represents their quilts inspired by "Architecture."
Some of the quilts in this exhibit included the added challenge of creating images using log cabin blocks.

The Art Quilt Group was formed in 2005 and includes a collection of immensely talented women who are willing and happy to share their expertise. We have learned and experimented with fabrics, paints, beads, yarns, stamps, buttons, metal, paper, cord, bleach, and inks. And we have had so much fun in the process.
This exhibit is a recent challenge to create a quilt that includes a black and white 4-patch.

We're happy this year in our virtual show to be able to share some quilts made by our Quilt Show Judges. These talented women rarely are able to share their work at our show. We know you will enjoy their artistry. This Judges Exhibit is not available for Best of Show award.

Gerrie grew up sewing clothes with her grandmother and while that came in handy with two daughters, her real passion was quilting. As an active member of many local and regional quilt and fiber arts organizations, she has chaired and organized guild shows and activities. Always looking for innovative techniques, Gerrie has successfully completed courses from many nationally known teachers. Her work has won awards and been juried into local, regional and international shows.
Gerrie’s interest in judging began while volunteering at the APWQ Show, where she was impressed by the sincere appreciation of the quilts by the judges. As a judge, she has learned that each quilter puts a bit of themselves into their work and they appreciate constructive and positive feedback that will help improve the level of all the quilts we get to see at the shows.
Gerrie has been judging quilt shows since 2008. She is a trained Judge of Quilts and Wearable Arts from the West Coast Judging Academy and she is currently enrolled in the NACQJ Judges Certification Program.
